Description: These playing cards were specially designed and manufactured for the casino in San Remo (Province of Imperia, Liguria). Therefore, they are considered the unofficial 17th traditional Italian Playing Card Pattern (or 20th, including the three traditional Tarot decks). Manufacturer item no. "16".
Beschreibung: Solche Spielkarten wurde speziell für das Casino in San Remo (Provinz Imperia, Ligurien) designed und hergestellt. Somit gelten sie als das inoffizielle 17. traditionelle italienische Kartenbild; zusammen mit den drei traditionellen Tarots sind es sogar 20. Hersteller Artikel-Nummer "16". Kontrollzettel für die Qualitätssicherung beiliegned.

Description: Rare military playing cards from WWI. Ranks of the court cards are Captain, (First) Lieutenant and Corporal. Suits are Artillery, Infantry, Cavalry and Logistics.
Beschreibung: Seltene Militärspielkarten aus der Schweiz. Die 4 Farbzeichen widerspiegeln die Waffengattungen Kavallerie, Artillerie, Infanterie und Genie; die Figurenkarten sind Hauptmann, Oberleutnant und Korporal. Dabei ist es etwas verwirrend, dass die Farbzeichen (als Anfangsbuchstaben der Waffengattungen) wie Indices aussehen: "C", "A", "J" (statt "I") und "G". Die Karte Atrillerie-7 hat einen Knick (fällt kaum auf).

Description: A peculiar spelling of the village name "Diessenhofen" with "ſs"; the only known version with printed letters which uses this notation. The single-headed Jass cards have now almost reached their final appearance.
Beschreibung: Sonderbare Schreibweise vom Ort "Diessenhofen" mit "ſs"; einzige bekannte Version mit Druckbuchstaben, welche diese Schreibweise verwendet. Die einköpfigen Jass-Karten haben nun fast ihr definitves Aussehen erlangt.

Description: This is the oldest known version showing the "classical" single-headed Swiss Pattern, which was printed for the following 70 years (before it was discontinued due to the double-ended Swiss Pattern definitively replacing it).
Beschreibung: Dies ist die älteste bekannte Version, die das "klassische" einköpfige Schweizer Kartenbid zeigt, das in den folgenden 70 Jahren gedruckt wurde (bevor der Verkauf, aufgrund des doppelköpfigen Schweizer Bildes, das es endgültig ersetzte, eingestellt wurde). Die Eichel-Neun hat eine andere Rückseite (blau statt braun); sie wurde höchstwahrscheinlich bereits schon falsch verpackt, aber so hat das Deck in perfektem Zustand überlebt...

Description: The court cards—as in the French pattern—are inscribed with historical and mythological names. Usually such decks were either sold in a 52 card (Whist) or 32 card (Piquet) version. This is the rather rare 36 card version, labelled as "Sixette", most likely produced for the Swiss market. Very high quality playing cards (inaltérables) with gilt corners (coins dorés). Manufacturer item no. "813".
Beschreibung: Belgisch-Genuesisches Bild, wobei die Figurenkarten – wie beim französischen Bild – mit historischen und mythologischen Namen angeschriben sind. Üblicherweise wurden solche Kartenspiele entweder in einer 52-Karten- (Whist) oder einer 32-Karten-Version (Piquet) verkauft. Hierbei handelt es sich um die eher seltene 36-Karten-Version mit der Bezeichnung "Sixette", die höchstwahrscheinlich für den Schweizer Markt produziert wurde. Qualitativ sehr hochwertige Spielkarten (inaltérables) mit Goldecken (coins dorés). Hersteller Artikel-Nummer = "813".

Beschreibung: Russisches Zirkus-Spiel, manchmal fälschlicherweise als "Zirkus-Trappola" bezeichnet. Chromotypie, rechteckige Ecken, ohne Indices. Rückseite: Verziertes Gitter in Ziegelbraun. Steuerstempel des russischen Kaiserreichs (schwarz, rund, 22mm, mit Pelikan-Motiv). Wenig gespielt, aber mit minimer Knickspur in rechter oberer Ecke vom Laub-Ober.

The court cards feature personalities who are still well-known today: Kaiser Wilhelm II, the German Emperor (King of Acorns); his eldest son, Crown Prince Wilhelm, who served as a military commander during the war (King of Leaves); Paul von Hindenburg, the Field Marshal (Generalfeldmarschall) who later became the Reich President of the Weimar Republic (Ober of Acorns); Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the famous inventor and designer of the rigid airship which was named after him (Unter of Hearts).
